We’re the ones we’ve been waiting for…..and we’re not waiting any longer!
Are you waiting for the cavalry to come in and save the day?
If there is some anathema with which you are trying to deal, if you waiting on the sidelines for some magic formula to appear out of nowhere and save the day, you have been spending too much time in the world of fiction media.
There is no magic hero that rides in to save the day. End of story.
The only thing that exists to solve the problem… is you.
If you are not fully cognizant of this particular detail, it might come as a rude awakening, but, the sooner any one of us recognize that we, ourselves, are the solution to our problems, we are one step closer to solving those problems.
In our acceptance of complete and total responsibility for our own lives, we discover a secret reservoir of capability, functionality, and confidence that we continually hold within us, to draw down upon when required.
You might retort, “yes, but what about the big, giant problems on planet earth… certainly, I can’t be responsible for them!” No, but if you feel strongly enough about those issues, are you contributing to the efforts that are tackling those issues with either your own personal resources or donations or leveraging any other opportunity you might bring to the equation?
There are so many massive problems that are facing humanity and there always will be. But as Margaret Mead so aptly stated, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.“
If you are determined to see the things that you believe in, come to fruition, you have to dig deep within and find your own personal reservoir of capabilities, such that you might leverage those to the benefit of society at large.
Only through these acts of altruism, will we ever overcome the issues that seem most pressing in our lifetime and thwart them from becoming overwhelmingly powerful and dominant on the global landscape.
Stop waiting for the cavalry, you’re already here.
Happy Tuesday!
