Yesterday, I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today, I am wise, so I am changing myself.
How many times have you made a concerted effort to change yourself?
Life gives us ample opportunities to discover whether or not we are ready for a change.
It comes in all sorts of different kinds of messaging, both internal and external.
More often than not, we may find ourselves myopically lost in the minutia details of our existing lives, and will therefore miss the obvious signs that change is imminent.
Some of these stimuli do ultimately get through… and when they do, they create a catalytic reaction in our mind that fuels our motivation and determination, to bring out the change in ourselves that we so assuredly require.
In our concerted efforts to leverage the catalyst into the propelling force that delivers us either the knowledge, focus, motivation, determination, or willpower to activate such a change, we create an unmistakable momentum that will propel us through the experience.
Change is critical in so many ways.
It would be nice to believe that we are living in a world of stasis in which everything can remain in a comfortable equilibrium, but that is the furthest from the truth.
Every aspect of our being is changing, as well as the world around us, both physical and mental.
In our understanding of these parameters, we are that much more able to recognize the part that we are going to need to play in the full cathartic effort required to bring some of the most important changes about in our daily existence.
If you are frustrated that the world is not necessarily acting the way that you might wish that it were acting, you might either opt for adapting yourself to the variables that you are going to have to accept, or you might create a change that delivers you to a new state of existence, that overcomes or alleviates the issues that had arisen in your prior existence.
The choice to change his always yours.
