Self confidence is a super power. Once you start to believe in yourself, magic starts happening.

Self confidence is a super power. Once you start to believe in yourself, magic starts happening.

What does it truly mean to believe in yourself?

Sure, at face value, belief in oneself is the mindset that empowers us to take on whatever comes our way.

That is well and fine for the perspective of being emboldened to stay consistent in our day to day lives… but what is it that accelerates us into the complete unknown?

If a person is content to do what their traditional life trajectory would dictate, being comfortable to take on that which arises, is a prerequisite to that scenario.

The ability to leverage this mindset into the world of overcoming all that may impede you as you accelerate beyond all that is known, and catapult yourself directly into the unknown, is a far more advanced skillset.

When you venture deep into the unknown, there are no rules, for no one has been there prior. At first blush, that sounds considerably easier, for without rules, there would (presumably) be more latitude, and as a direct consequence, more ability to “just make it work.”

In reality, I believe it turns out to be the exact opposite.

Venturing head first into territories unknown, brings about obstacles that may never have been expected. In the course of this encounter, we may first have to work to identify what the impedance is, and that in and of itself could take superhuman strength, as some obstacles are so amorphous as to require significant amounts of time, just to try to identify what the true nature of the obstacle really is.

The superhuman quality of self confidence resides in the innate ability to understand that you have the wherewithal to venture deep into uncharted waters and know beyond all shadow of a doubt that you will prevail, no matter what.

In the course of this, your own internal mechanisms will mature and evolve in a manner that are both self-protecting, as well as increase in their intuitional qualities that will assist you as you journey deeper into the unknown. This means that you must have the ability to accept short term defeat with dignity and pride, knowing that the much larger perspective will prevail. At first blush this seems both obvious, as well as critical… but when you are on your knees, having suffered a major defeat, your ability to summon this quintessential belief in yourself at that precise moment…therein lies your superpower.

Finding your way directly back to center and proceeding with as much (if not more) energy and enthusiasm as you had prior to being dropped to your knees… that’s where your super power will manifest and overcome all fear, doubt, concern, and trepidation and see all of those as road markers on the path to a much greater success lying ahead.

Once you have that belief system in place. You become indomitable.

Happy Friday!
