I think everybody should get rich and famous, and do everything they ever dreamed of so that they can see that it is not the answer.

JIM CARREY

What is your biggest dream?

When you realize that dream, do you expect that you will be considerably happier than you are right now?

What is it specifically about the accomplishment of that dream that will change your happiness quotient?

In the course of pursuing all of the aspirations that we might conjure, we are highly susceptible to promoting the idea within, that we will achieve a final destination of happiness.

In reality, happiness is not a destination whatsoever, but rather, it is the way to travel.

We are continuously promoting our internal anxiety and trepidation to a higher status, by enabling our dreams of the future to catapult us into perspectives that potentially cause us to lose sight of that which is most important in life.

Jim Carrey was at one point, the highest paid actor of all time. His movies were major box office successes, and the world appeared to be his oyster… and yet he shares this perspective with intent for anyone to recognize that even the realization of your wildest dream is not the solution, in and of itself, to your happiness.

I have read that he has regularly leveraged the law of attraction to his benefit, and as a result, he was that much more capable of capitalizing on all of his talent, to his greatest potential.

If we are continuously working in similar direction, we very well might accomplish all of the dreams that we are hoping to achieve. Yet, if we are not taking inventory within our daily lives, and understanding that it is through all of these small moments, that our ultimate overall well-being is accomplished, then we might arrive at our perceived destination, far less happy than we might have ever expected.

Such a valuable lesson wrapped up in such a clearly obvious package, and yet, so many of us are quick to forget it.

If we stay cognizant of these variables, and remind ourselves daily, that we are creatures who are continuously seeking happiness, we might be more likely to live a fulfilled life, than to postpone that happiness for some undetermined date down the road.

Mark Twain said it best, “There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will. If you want to be happy, be. Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content.”

Happy Saturday!

Hope you make it a great one.
