When you find yourself in a room, surrounded by your enemies, you should tell yourself, “I am not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.” This is the kind of mindset you should have if you want to succeed in life. Get rid of that victim mentality.
BRUCE LEE
When you use self protective methods to ensure your safety amongst enemies, what methodology do you use?
In both personal and professional worlds, we are often times surrounded by “enemies.” In the broadest sense of the word, enemies may encompass workmates, classmates, teammates and others who are not a violent threat, but more of a competitive threat.
Expanding that definition to a broader circle, we may find competitors near and far who seek to garner variables within your internal perimeter of engagement, or are working to achieve the acquisition of territory or benefits that you may have your focus set upon.
The circles of definition of an enemy can go to the furthest extremes as we broaden our perspective, all the way to those who would do us physical or mental harm, including the willingness or desire to take our lives for whatever purpose or reason they may believe is appropriate.
If you are internally conjuring a victim mindset, your vibrational energy is going to attract those who will seek you as their victim. Whereas, if you are projecting extreme confidence and a highly assured nature, you are far more likely to thwart evil intentions, prior to their even being formulated.
A victim mentality creates a perspective that life has been unfair to oneself, and, as a direct consequence, that person is going to continue through life feeling as if they are always going to be in a compromised situation.
While it is true that life delivers unfair advantages to the spectrum of humanity, we are often times reminded of those who have been dealt some of the worst of life’s traumas, and still found a path to prevail to a great triumph.
This happens through exactly the mindset that Bruce Lee so adeptly describes. It happens through an empowered perspective that turns the situation around and delivers that person to accomplish that which everyone else might have presumed impossible.
Taking this to your current situation… if you are courageous and desirous of accelerating beyond any potential limitation that you are coping with, the journey of 1000 miles, begins with the first step.
And unquestionably, that first step starts in the mind. It resonates deep within and elevates you to a higher consciousness that will guide you towards taking that first step. It may not be the best first step, but it is unquestionably a step in the right direction, because you have prepared yourself to succeed, just by mentally empowering yourself to do so.
Happy Monday!
