Sometimes the messenger has to become the message.

When a person is speaking truth, especially in the face of power, they are required to maintain their integrity in the face of all adversity, conflict and derision from others. 

As the person works to ultimately secure their opportunity to express that which they are most passionate about, they will inevitably encounter every form of obstacle that intends to impede their message, their thought process, and most importantly, their actions. 

In moments such as these, the division between messenger and message ultimately gets blurred as a direct result of the continuous impedance that their message is failing to communicate. There becomes a necessity for someone of conscience to grow beyond the message they wish to express to others and ultimately work towards becoming the embodiment of such a message. 

The line between these two experiences is highly blurred at first inspection, for if one is the messenger, would they not necessarily be the embodiment of such? 

I believe there are many cases in life. A messenger may extol virtues that are beyond the variables which they, themselves, in life have power to control… but that does not mean that at the end of the day that they, themselves, are a direct embodiment of that message, for they could be expressing what they believe, but not necessarily what they are ultimately practicing. 

At some point, a person must ultimately decide whether or not that which they are ascribing to, and espousing to others, is, in fact, what they themselves are, in their deepest core. 

In that moment, there is an internal determination that must awaken as a direct result of that recognition, and upon such a degree of self understanding and awareness, they, themselves, become the message they have been delivering to others. 

To stand for what you believe in and act in direct accordance with such, is a key component to how a life of principal is lived. 

You have ultimately grown to the stage of understanding the message which you are standing upon, to the extent that you are fully capable of embodying that message as best you may. With every resource in your existence, you are all the more ready and capable of growing through your next evolution. 

Evolutions of this magnitude are few and far between, but when a person has become such a figure, as might be the case with Mother Teresa, Gandhi, Jane Goodall, Marie Curie or others of their rare quality, we cannot help but see them through an even higher degree of respect than we might have previously, if for no other reason, then they are truly walking and espousing their core values through every aspect of their being. 

When you believe in something with every ounce of your essence, work as diligently as you may to grow from being the messenger Into becoming the message.
