There will always be more to do.

There will always be more to do. More growth. More healing. More errands. More cleaning. More. More. More. Take a moment today to simply be wherever you are. Just breathe. Celebrate how far you’ve come. How much you’ve already achieved. Celebrate your strength. Your resilience. Your compassion. Your grace. Your effort. Stop thinking about all the things you still have to do without stopping every so often to think about all that you’ve done. Celebrate it all. Celebrate you.

Do you get lost daily in the myopic perspective of accomplishing a task list that you have set for yourself?

When you are in this frame of mind, do you allow a few moments to appreciate the life you are currently living, the opportunities that you have amassed, the accomplishments that you have already achieved?

It is so easy to be perpetually lost in the continuous stream of “what’s next?” that we are continuously leaving the moments of exhilaration and appreciation on the sidelines in favor of summoning the power to get to our next perceived milestone.

In the haze of continuous responsibility, we are perpetually drawn to our next events, circumnavigating the troubles on the path ahead, and working diligently to achieve all that we must for our survival as well as our internal need to surpass all that we have accomplished thus far.

Nothing drives this point home faster than losing a dear friend and recognizing the finite quality of life. In that illuminated moment, we are awakened to the harsh reality of our time on this 3D playground as being so short that we are more readily willing to take personal inventory and explore that which we are most appreciative of… our journey in having arrived at this exact moment in time.

We get so close to the experience that we lose all objectivity of our own lives and stop seeing all of the remarkable events that have taken us to where we are.

All the more reason to recognize the wisdom of taking a pause and reflecting. The road we have travelled is anything but perfect. There are memories of times gone bad. Experiences that did not resolve to our satisfaction. Imperfections in our attitude, approach or abilities.

But… when you look past all of that, there is the very beautiful you. The one who made it this far. The one who prevailed at the end of those hard chapters. The one who continued against the odds and went further than we might have first imagined.

Rediscover the being inside yourself who treasures and celebrates kindness, compassion, tenderness and empathy. The one who went out of their way for a friend, or who nurtured another being when their world was fragile. The one who took that hard phone call and just listened… because that is all the other person needed.

Reawaken to your greater soul who has been blossoming all this time, through hardship and good times, and see yourself for who you truly are and remind yourself how much you truly love being you.

There will always be more time to do more. Until one day, there isn’t. Find that tranquil space in your life to reengage with the inner child that got you to where you are now, and remind that child how much you really love them.

Happy Tuesday!
