When we are tired, we are attacked by ideas we conquered long ago.

When we are tired, we are attacked by ideas we conquered long ago.

Is evil ever truly vanquished?

Or is it more likely that it is supressed for a period of time and then if any remnants of that evil persists in thought, person, deed or prior example, will the evil find its way into the hearts of a new generation who wish to embody that evil?

Today is a landmark day in which a president of the United States of America is being brought to trial on criminal charges. This is a moment that cannot be underestimated in its relevance and the importance to our country, and the world at large.

Our desire to stand up for all that we believe in and to vanquish those who do not believe they are held accountable within the laws of our country, could not be more symbolically important to the citizens of our country, as well as all those who are paying attention around the world.

In the last 8 years, we have watched numerous instances of issues that we had felt were in our collective rearview mirror, rise back up from the spectres of the past.

None more obvious and prevalent than the presumption that a legal body has any right whatsoever to tell a woman what she is or is not allowed to do with her own healthcare.

In this insanity, we have seen people from both sides of the aisle, awaken to the fact that our pendulum has swung too far to the right and that we are regressing quickly.

Concurrently, we are simultaneously watching the increase in antisemitism and trying to make sense of how and why such a barbaric and ill-founded perspective could possibly re-awaken into the nightmare of years’ past.

When we let our guards down, and get comfortable with the status quo, that is almost inevitably when it is going to be challenged… and the chaotic turmoil that we had thought were previously contemplated and resolved, reawakened to raise their ugly heads, once again.

It is imperative that each generation of humanity be continuously reminded of how and why the world they are so comfortable living within was ultimately achieved from what used to exist previously. I cannot state this enough times.

It is only through our diligence and repeated vigil, that we are ever going to be able to maintain that degree of newfound equilibrium.

I think one of the most important lessons that must be taught to every student of every age and generation is that man is decidedly the most vicious and most dangerous creature walking planet earth at this moment in time. Nothing else comes close.

Today, we work to hold the highest seats of power accountable for their actions, and remind every citizen of this country that no one human being is above the law.

Happy Monday!
