The higher we soar, the smaller we appear to those who cannot fly.

The higher we soar, the smaller we appear to those who cannot fly.

FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE

Do you sometimes have trouble communicating what you are thinking or engaging with, to others who are not operating on the same level as you?

When you find yourself in such a predicament, are you more or less willing to take the time to express yourself in hopes of being understood?

We are continuously living through such a massive evolution in technology and global change as to leave majority of people feeling even more potentially disconnected from one another, if for no other reason than the disparate technical understanding between themselves.

Conversely, when you are communicating with a smaller, more elite group, who understands everything of which you are speaking, do you find yourself feeling and acting more fraternal as a result of the direct opportunity to discuss subjects of importance to you with those who might actually understand that of which you speak, and the depth of where your thought processes have led you?

We are collectively living within the largest surge of technology and information in human history, causing all of us to operate in new territory than in any prior in which human beings have ever had cause or opportunity to experience.

This fractional congregation of humans enables us to grow exponentially further than we might ever have, had we not found others with similar knowledge or interest as us.

Our ability to engage and interact with those who are that much more advanced than we, allows our brightest ideas to formulate within a new territory in which we might best brainstorm and thereby explore the more diverse theories that we are contemplating, in order that we might learn through shared perspectives, unique variables, and theories not of our own making… and in the process, awaken to greater awareness of some of the potential answers to life’s greatest mysteries,

Conversely, as we are fortunate enough to fraternize with those who understand the complexities of the concepts which we are entertaining, we further distance ourselves from those who do not have the first clue about all that our minds have contemplated, thereby creating an ever-growing chasm between us.

The enjoyment of having great companions and collaborators further accentuates our deepest awareness of what we believe our lives are meant to be exploring, while simultaneously facilitating our ever-growing disconnect with others in the process.

I believe the solution to the disconnect is to learn to communicate with those who are feeling disconnected from us by using a more general and comprehensive perspective, which can be potentially more readily understood, and thereby continue to maintain relationships that might otherwise feel stretched in the course of our own growth and in the continuous pursuit of our greatest potential.

Happy Wednesday!
