It is better to be a lonely lion than a popular sheep.

Would you rather negotiate the path for the pack or would you rather stay comfortable within the herd of sheep and follow as others do this for you? 

When we are working with the resources with which we were born and which we have managed to accrue, we learn quickly what our predisposition to leadership and individuality truly is. 

It is quite common for us to take a position in which we are likely to feel safe within our comfort zone, securely knowing that our overall safety and security is wholly protected. 

In that perception, we become ultimately more comfortable with how we view our respective roles in life. 

Conversely, if you are alpha, you are continuously challenging yourself as to how and what you are willing to accept and where and why you are fully capable of stepping up to the plate and doing what needs to be done. 

Whereas if you are not alpha, you may be more comfortable waiting on the sidelines for someone else to do it for you so that you might then continue. 

The world continuously reinforces how and why alpha personalities throughout the animal kingdom engage, and what causes them to prevail.

The path of an alpha is not usually the popular choice for many reasons. In particular, the alpha continuously challenges the norm in which the majority of the others live, and in challenging the norm, the alpha is more willing to continually ask the questions that provoke the stimulation for changes of great magnitude.

Those changes do not sit well with those whose lives have been made extra comfortable operating within the status quo. When something comes along which stimulates changes of that magnitude, it inevitably displaces and uproots those who have been incredibly comfortable, or at least content, with the status quo. 

To allow ourselves the luxury of trying to be popular at the expense of eliminating that which differentiates us as being alpha is not successful formula. 

So, in the course of making choices of this magnitude, one might find themselves displaced and considerably less popular than they might at first have hoped for in the course of their lives. 

Popularity belong to the sheep. 

If you’re willing to get along and not challenge the status quo, you may find a lot of allies who are more than content supporting that mindset. 

Ultimately, the choice is yours.
