In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take.

Do you have moments that you look back on your life and wonder what might have happened if only you had done one thing differently?

When we evaluate these moments, we cannot help but look backwards with a certain degree of speculative quandary.

When large chances arrive on your doorstep, you are faced with myriad choices, at least one of which requires taking a greater chance than you might be comfortable taking. When this moment crystallizes before you, you are eventually confronted with the prospect of determining whether or not you feel the risk warrants the reward or whether the risk is just too dangerous for your comfort zone.

In the end, we all inevitably opt for the path that is best suited for us, and in the course of doing so, we are framed by the resulting permutations that arise from the options we selected.

As an average person trying to navigate the complexities of life, we may often times see the alternate future as being enticing and alluring, but way too risky for us to wager our lives upon.

Having made our decisions and acted on them, we cannot help but to periodically look over our shoulder metaphorically at the decisions we made that may stimulate pangs of regret for the choices left untaken.

Our expectation enables us to perfectly forecast what we might believe is the most likely outcome of every permutation at our option. Though we might sense possibilities and probabilities, it is most often, a quiet, internal guiding mechanism that facilitates our determination to carry on with the choices that we have made and to savor the options that have arisen as a direct result of those choices.

We are luminous beings working regularly to find our higher calling and greatest potential outcome, so when you make a choice of magnitude, allow that choice ample time to prove its spirit, because once made, it is often times more difficult to refocus and recalibrate what must be accomplished.

Happy Wednesday!
