GEORGE CARLIN
Did they teach you critical thinking in school?
How do you know for sure?
Was that a statistic that they made you learn?
How would you know if you were actually critical thinking?
Our ability to discern truth from fiction is imperative to our ability to survive in such a dynamic landscape as the planet has ultimately evolved into.
This continuous span of life provides nonstop cause and reason for us to readily leverage these critical skills to our advantage.
In fact, our entire survival, as a specie, depends on it. As we are continuously navigating our respective path through the continuum of information that streams at us from all directions, our ability to understand how to rationally separate truth from fiction from outright inflammatory propaganda, could not be more important.
In that distinction, we are much more capable of distilling all that must be understood, from all that is currently being shared.
As the special interest segments of different parts of society manifest biased materials in order to subvert current regulations and policies, our unique ability to contemplate alternate realities, and then to distinctly contemplate the logical ramifications of these kinds of experiences is critical.
The fact that we have replace the teaching of critical thinking in favor of recitation of memorized facts is a travesty that has been intentionally transposed upon more recent generations for the purposes of potentially leading those citizens into new forms of control and manipulation.
When you are able to leverage logic in order that you might, accurately contemplate the logistics of what might likely transpire predicated upon specific variables coming to pass, you are in a much more capable situation than someone who has just learned how to memorize and repeat that information on exams.
Teach your children how to think critically… as if their lives depend on it. Because, in fact, they do.
Happy Thursday!
