Can you truly imagine the concept of forever?
What does eternity feel like?
If you could live forever, would you actually want to?
Especially if you were the only one who was?
Forever is a poetic notion created by us who are occupying the space time continuum. In this context, we can extrapolate the infinite. We can project what we might consider it to feel like. But could we really?
The oldest living items on planet earth are the endoliths on the ocean floor with a potential life span of perhaps millions of years. A huge colony of sea grass near Ibiza, Spain is estimated to be between 12,000 and 200,000 years old but that is theoretical because 80,000 years ago, that area was dry land. There is the Lomatia Tasmanica shrub in Tasmania that is estimated to be 43,600 years old.
Dinosaurs roamed the earth for 165 million years.
With all of these massive life spans, none even remotely come close to an eternity.
So, given the absolute nature of living a finite existence, is it not wise to expect that our ability to achieve immortality is derived through memory?
None of us will ever get out of here alive. That’s a fact.
So, would it not be in our best interests to leave a legacy in our wake? To deliver during our lifetime some things of value as to leave an indelible impression upon those around us who will live beyond our own lifespan?
There are dinosaurs and fossils that are well over 100 million years old, and they continue to leave an impression, even to this day.
If we are going to serve our greatest purpose, I do not believe that is achieved through the material acquisition of items, as upon our demise, they are passed to others, and very little resonant energy accompanies them. The nostalgic sentimental value is potentially very high, but these physical things are still not conveying us.
Instead, perhaps we would be more wise to value the creation of amazing memories. To live a life worth living and to impress what we have to offer to others in a graceful manner that helps to facilitate that which we are most adept at manifesting, so that those who follow behind us may share in the true wealth we have created.
It’s a one way trip…. Make it count.
Happy Tuesday!
