Do you have faith in yourself?
What has given you cause to believe in this manner?
When we are young, we take chances and learn lessons. Some small, some much larger.
Each one of these minutia experiences become stepping stones upon which our confidence and our future life experiences blossoms.
Optimism is in part, a personality trait, and in part an acquired mental perspective, in the sense that with each of our respective opportunities to engage with the world around us, we are given ample space to discover where we are more likely to thrive, as well as learning where we might not.
Trial and error breeds perspective, perspective guides confidence, confidence fuels enthusiasm, enthusiasm delivers action.
When your enthusiasm is on full alert, you are still potentially likely to make an error in judgement, so leveraging practicality to temper our enthusiasm is equally wise.
So, with our intelligent guard rails in place, I believe we are fully in gear when we can marshal our enthusiasm and focus it directly into the prime directive of our aspiration. Nike coined, “Just do it.” Apple coined, “Think different,” to summarize this mandatory frame of mind.
It requires courage and tenacity. But most importantly, it requires faith. Faith is in some cases connected to a religious belief, but in this circumstance, I believe faith is very much a personal issue.
I can buy my favorite ice cream and put it in the freezer and have faith in my willpower to ignore it. Sometimes that faith proves true. Other times… not so much.
But if I set my perspective towards ambitious goals for my professional execution, my faith is unshakeable… and so must be yours.
When you see how and why you must accomplish something, every little obstacle along the way is merely a tiny impediment to the much larger vision.
Belief in oneself is omnipotent.
Leverage this to your advantage and you will most certainly prevail…. Because you KNOW YOU WILL.
Happy Thursday!
