Do you treat others the way you wish to be treated?
When someone is overly disrespectful to you, do you wonder how and why they could choose to behave like that, of all the possible options that they have in the world?
When we are confronted by a blatant lack of respect, we are continuously searching for the route of such ignorance and lack of cordiality.
We are all creatures working and thriving to sustain on planet earth, and our entire concept of civility must originate with mutual respect, for without it, we are nothing more than organisms, without a semblance of order, discipline, or structure.
Respect is the foundation of a civilized society. It is a discipline in which we are hopefully trained at an early age so that as we grow older with intent to deploy the respect, we are grounded in the root requirements necessary to necessitate such behavior.
Once we are willing and capable of leveraging this understanding, over the course of our lifetime, we may be genuinely thrilled to discover that this is in our society framework.
As each one of us plays our respective role in a holding such a crucial component to civility, it makes us all the more aware of and resentful of those who are not opting for the same determination.
As humanity becomes all the more evolved, we rely on this tenant in more ways than we might ever imagine and consequently, when we find it lacking, we are highly disappointed as the potential for positive outcomes, diminishes considerably without the respect being mutual.
Happy Saturday!
