It doesn’t matter how many gold medals Simone wins in gymnastics, when it comes time for her to be a contestant in a pie eating contest, I am going to presume that all of her brilliance as a gymnast won’t make a difference in her ability to devour massive amounts of pie.
While that is an arcane analogy, it proves a basic point. Life delivers us both opportunity to excel in our respective categories, as well as opportunities in which we might clearly demonstrate how brilliant our specialized skills truly are.
Being a master requires not only the capability of learning to train yourself to become the best of breed at something, but also to frequent the places in which such unique talent will most truly shine.
You could take the greatest Muay Thai fighter and put him in the kitchen with a top chef and all of his fighting skills will not amount to a hill of beans because his expertise is in an entirely different arena.
As we go through life working to find our greatest conquest and working diligently to improve ourselves, such that the realization of said concept conquest is achievable, we are most well served to stay diligent in our learning how and where we must position ourselves in order for those supreme skills to ultimately shine to their brightest degree.
In this depth of understanding, we are all the more ready, willing and capable of the greatness that we have set our minds towards achieving.
With everything you’ve got to be brilliant at whatever you have set your mind to achieving, and then it is imperative to find the domain in which you are most likely to demonstrate these capabilities and establish yourself as a leader in that community.
Happy Wednesday!
