Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice that you have made. If you want different results, make different choices.
What would you rank as the most important choice you have made in your entire life?
Why is that?
What if you had made an alternate choice, how different would your life be at this moment in time?
The choices that we have at our disposal, inevitably create a continuity of experiences that are going to play themselves out in our lives in countless different ways and scenarios. With each and every choice comes comes outcomes as well as predicaments.
If we are finding ourselves in a predicament in life, it is most often trackable back to a particular choice that we have made at an earlier point in our existence. None of us make all the right choices. To the contrary, a batting average of 66% positive choices is probably on the high ranking scale of people who consistently make great choices for themselves, day after day, year after year.
When we can correlate the outcomes to bad choices that we have made, I believe that it can unquestionably foster our willpower, such that we are much less likely to make the same mistake, or a similar mistake, the next time we have opportunity.
We are all creatures of habit, and those habits are sometimes highly conducive to our our well-being, and sometimes they are absolutely contradictory to the things we most really want.
Usually, a variable like stress, depression or fear can throw us off of our traditional ability to make intelligent choices and can quickly spiral us directly into the wrong space.
If we can become overtly aware of our propensity to do things like this, under those kinds of circumstances, we can set a form of internal safeguard that precludes us from slipping ever deeper into the chasm of problems created in the course of making a wrong choice.
Happy Thursday!
