All birds find shelter during the rain. But the eagle avoids the rain by flying above the clouds. Problems are common, but attitude makes the difference.

All birds find shelter during the rain. But the eagle avoids the rain by flying above the clouds. Problems are common, but attitude makes the difference.

I have never met a person who is not wrestling with their own set of problems. I believe it is the nature of life. With each and every problem comes multiple potential solutions or choices depending upon how that person opts to see the circumstance.

When we are besieged with problems, it is a normal temptation to find ourselves wallowing in our own self pity. And often times we find ourselves there.

It is interesting then, that some are able to quickly accelerate out of such a depression and, in watching how and what they do, we are all the wiser for learning how to implement much of what they choose as their methodology.

Would we be more fulfilled in life if we were able to empower ourselves with similar approaches so that we might recognize when we are in such a funk and learn to leverage that newfound set of skills in order that we might more rapidly find our way into a more positive frame of mind?

With each chapter of our lives, we are ever closer to the potential ending. As with any great work of fiction, life is equally structured so that we might find our footing sooner, quicker and faster, thereby enabling our own ability to rise above our issues and seek the solid ground that we wish to be standing upon once again.

Attitude is the determining factor. The most positive attitude will almost always deliver the results. The opportunity that comes from positive thinking and the attraction that positive thinking enables in our daily lives strikes me as the core secret to enable us to rise above our issues.

The eagle flies above the clouds because it can. It has the strength and the virility to know how and where to navigate when things get difficult. It is not such a difficult perspective to see our own selves just as the eagle. If we are continuously bound by problems, we must find that personal strength to enable us to soar above our own clouds and find our personal direction to safe harbor.

If you are wrestling with specific problems in your world, I advise you to find a quiet sanctuary in which you may allow each of your thoughts to voice their opinion in order that you might find your own path to a new frame of mind. In the sanctuary, if you can dismiss all of the problems and instead focus only on all of the potential solutions, eventually one or more of those solutions will draw greater attention to themselves and thereby enable you to find your best next choice.

Happy Saturday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
