A wise man was asked what is anger? He gave a beautiful answer… It is a punishment we give to ourself, for somebody else’s mistake.
They don’t lie to you because the truth will hurt your feelings. They lie to you because the truth might provoke you to make choices that won’t serve their interests.
The older I get, the more I would rather sit alone, than with people who judge the way I live.
What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of a difference you want to make.
The boy who is going to make a great man must not make up his mind merely to overcome a thousand obstacles, but to win in spite of a thousand repulses and defeats.
The truth is not always beautiful. Nor beautiful words the truth.
Maturity is learning to walk away from people and situations that threaten your peace of mind, self-respect, values, morals or self-worth.
The problem with “energy doesn’t lie” and “trust your gut” memes is they don’t account for how social conditioning, prejudice, fear of change, trauma and anxiety can feel like inner guidance. Exploring our feelings with discernment is key so we learn to tell the difference.
If you don’t fight for what you want, then don’t cry for what you lost.
A lie doesn’t become the truth, wrong doesn’t become right, and evil doesn’t become good, just because it is accepted by a majority.
