Love and appreciate your parents. We are so often growing up, we forget they are also growing old.
If a person wants to be a part of your life, they will make an obvious effort to do so. Think twice before reserving a place in your heart for people who do not make an effort to stay.

Know how to listen and you will profit even from those who talk badly.
Nothing makes you smile more than looking into the face of a dog that loves you.
I think the people who have experienced the most sadness are the ones who always try their hardest to make other people happy. Because they know in their own flesh what it’s like to feel empty and depressed, and they don’t want anyone else to feel that way.
Only during hard times do people come to understand how difficult it is to be master of their feelings and thoughts.
