Lessons From The Mountain
Visionary people face the same problems everyone else faces; but rather than get paralyzed by their problems, visionaries immediately commit themselves to finding a solution.
We know what we are, but know not what we may be.
You cannot swim for new horizons until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones that you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, dream, discover.
And I wonder
It is not the greatness of a man’s means that makes him independent, so much as the smallness of his wants.
Unlike a drop of water which loses its identity when it joins the ocean, man does not lose his being in the society in which he lives. Man’s life is independent. He is born not for the development of the society alone, but for the development of his self.
Giving up doesn’t always mean you are weak, sometimes it means you are strong enough and smart enough to let go and move on.
I’ve learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
Some days it takes a lot of work just to be OK.
