conquer fear

The ability to conquer fear proactively requires a unique discipline. I don’t care if you are the world heavyweight champion climbing into the ring or you are a 16-year-old child applying for your first job, or anything in between, fear is omnipresent.

It is not only normal, the fight or flight mechanism inside our lizard brain is exactly what keeps us alive. But the more advanced part of the brain recognizes that fear is sometimes just an impedance. An internal mechanism of inconvenience that is standing by at a moment’s notice to dissuade us from taking on certain things in life that we know we are capable of accomplishing. That’s when it is most opportune to conquer fear proactively by taking the right steps.

Those kinds of fears serve as opportunity to galvanize our deeper energy in favor of overcoming whatever obstacle you are afraid of. And in the course of regularly defeating those kinds of fears, you develop a deeper sense of self that is more capable, more powerful and certainly more willing to take on the next chapter of things that are intimidating.

Monday is traditionally the most stressful day for humanity, as it in most cases represents the transition from a couple days of relaxation back into the daily grind. Recognizing that the omnipresent fear is desirous of defeating your Monday morning intentions, your choice to conquer fear is the first step towards putting all of those fears behind you in favor of another string of successes.

So off we march into our battle to slay windmills and tackle the obstacles that stand between us and our goals on this beautiful Monday morning with optimism, pride, and our deep seeded internal energy as our weapons of mass destruction of the variables that cause us to fear.

I hope your day is magical✨✨✨✨✨

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
