Don’t start your day with broken pieces of yesterday. Every day is a fresh start. Every day is a new beginning. Every morning we wake up is the first day of our new life.

This truly is the first day of the rest of your life, what are you going to do with it?

This phrase has been used forever, which has clearly diminished the impact of how important the phrase, honestly is.

When you are a mindful individual who is paying attention to the things in life that truly matter, you are often given way to measure out how and what you plan to do with your existence.

Each decision that you make, each action that you take, sets the stage for making your choices the next day, all the more opportune and capable of delivering you to where are you most wish to go.

Many times we may get caught in the day in, day out, doldrums of the tedium of every day life. We become less conscious of the fact that each one of these is a day of our life that we will never return to. And we become that much more complacent with the variables in our world that we have become conditioned to accept as being status quo.

But are they really?

Is everything so carved in stone as to eliminate any of the other potential opportunities or variables that we might be considering?

Staying aware of this concept enables us to properly weight every variable in our cadre of opportunities, such that we are making the very best of that which we have access to, and we are working to ensure that we are headed towards the very best that we feel we might be capable of ultimately achieving.

These tools shape the entire infrastructure of your life, your happiness, your contentment and your internal desire to know in your heart that you are on the best possible course of action for everything that is important in your priorities.

Without this awareness, an entire life may be wasted in trivial pass times and cordial conversations.

If we wake up to the impact and the true power of recognizing each, and every day is the first day of the rest of our lives, we are that much more empowered to seize the day and make very best use of a tremendous resource at our disposal.

Happy Monday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
