Heroes

Nurturing one’s mind with great thoughts is a regular practice that I highly condone. To believe in the heroic makes heroes.

Allowing one’s brain an opportunity to extend far beyond traditional parameters and explore the possibilities of one’s potential future is the pathway for advancement.

It may be written off by some as a flight of fancy, others may label you a dreamer, but underneath the veneer of external perspectives on what might be happening inside one’s mind, lies true power. Does it not?

You know that heroes like Orville Wright must have looked to the sky and envisioned a bird’s eye view. That Edison sat by candlelight working until the wee hours of the night knowing there must be a solution. That Louis Pasteur conjured his dreams from microbes and vaccination. They, and others like them, are perpetually driven by, “what if?”

I believe that dreams are the internal connection to source. And when your brain connects to source, the flow of the information is insurmountable and the dream is the vehicle to channel that valuable resource.

It is moments like the one we are living through in history that gives birth to great dreams, for many people are discontent with the status quo. And it is the discontent that fuels the dream and nourishes the drive for heroes to succeed, to crash through the perceived membrane of any obstacle that stands in one’s way.

I am sure that Benjamin Disraeli, having been born of Jewish descent, would not have become Prime Minister of Great Britain, were he not a dreamer as well

Perhaps in this tranquil Saturday, you will treat yourself to a dream and allow it a chance to take hold, for in that simple first move, lies pathways to your greater good?

Happy Saturday!

QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you believe in your dreams? If so, why?

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
