If your belief system requires you to hate someone, perhaps you don’t truly understand the essence behind your belief system.

If your belief system requires you to hate someone, perhaps you don’t truly understand the essence behind your belief system.

I have spoken at length with people of almost every large denomination, and the one thing that all of the belief systems seem to have in common in their documentation/scriptures, is a peaceful and loving nature towards one another.

How is it then, that almost since the dawn of time, human differences have been continually in discord, as a result of disparate religious beliefs?

What is it that empowers all of these people to take exception to one another and by virtue of a religious belief system, give instant cause for reason to feel negatively towards one another, without ever even understanding or knowing the individual in question?

We live in a world in which there are a vast number of variables which remain completely unexplained to this date.

The global religions have provided understandings that have been postulated in which disparate groups of people find their answers to these unknown quandaries.

When we are working to find peace and harmony on our planet, one of the most important variables in that decision is to create an elasticity or understanding in which we are comfortable allowing other parties to have their own belief systems and live by them.

The creation of the United States of America was in part, founded on the proposition that everyone had the freedom to express their religious beliefs differently, without persecution or intimidation yet, almost 243 years later, there is still a continuous prejudice that remains prevalent among disparate groups, in different financial strata, throughout our society.

They have lived their lives within the confines of a small set of variables and their lack of exposure to people in the belief systems, different than their own, creates a fear or trepidation, that the other party bares them ill will, and therefore poses a threat… when, in fact, in many of these circumstances, this could not be any less factual.

We are continuously living within the confines of these disjointed parameters, upon which our overall population of 8 billion human beings must operate. Until all religions are willing to continuously promote the cause, and reason for peace amongst all human beings and living creatures, we will always be living within a world of discord and fear.

If you believe that your belief system is giving you power or authorization to hate or kill another person for their belief system, you may wish to review the the original writings of your belief and look there for the answers that will disprove your misconception.

Happy Saturday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
