In the end, we’ll all become stories.

Immortality is born of legacy.

As we spend our time transversing this three dimensional planet… innovating, learning, growing, and improving, we are all students in the great game of life. Some of the chapters are truly magnificent, while some of the others can be incredibly disheartening.

Our acceptance and full immersion into the experience delivers the results worthy of a legacy worth leaving.

The older we get, the more stories we have to share. If we see the opportunity to craft memorable stories based on actual experiences as one of our core goals in life, how important does it become to ensure that you have many positive experiences in your time on planet earth? Making every concerted effort you may, so that the stories that you share with others, are filled with great joy, tales of daring deeds and accomplishing things that others might not have been willing to try.

If you are not continually revising your own story with better chapters, featuring new experiences and new characters, you are missing one of the greatest of all of the opportunities that this life facilitates. In your engagements, you must seek out people who are worthy of building your next stories and you must make them know how much you appreciate them.

All the trinkets, toys, awards and properties we are able to accumulate are entirely left behind when we pass to the next dimension. All the more reason to be the kind of person that people remember warmly, with great affection and whose legacy is filled with as many positive deeds as one might conjure in their brief stay in this universal paradise called Earth.

Happy Thursday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
