It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.

The weight of this pandemic and the current administration‘s complete irresponsible approach to coping and beating the pandemic is bearing down upon us right now.

More people died yesterday from covid than on 9/11.

The whole world stopped in horror when America suffered that tragedy almost 20 years ago. But in our current society, the irresponsible party in charge has made science an ugly topic and has left all of us in a lurch. An equivalent number of people will die today and tomorrow and Sunday and every day until we can stop this. One American is dying every 30 seconds from Covid right now.

If every life of every human being, regardless of race, creed or color is equivalent, then the irresponsible politicians who will not get behind the mandates necessary to get everything back on track are really just as dangerous, life for life, to Americans as Osama bin Laden. I’m not equating them with being terrorists, but I am equating them with lives lost, and as a consequence, with blood on their hands. If this sounds extreme to you, you need to start listening to some interviews with the hospital staff, it will break your heart and it will terrify you as to what their reality is right now. Could you go to work and watch 4 to 6 people die every day? Some of them in your arms while they are gasping for last breaths?  If they are already massively overburdened at this moment and we are going into a surge that will substantially add to their burden, we are likely to crash our medical system in various regions, making any kind of treatment for any kind of ailment, near impossible for a host of reasons.

California is experiencing the most prolific growth of this virus at this moment. If ever there were a time to be more vigilant, more cautious and aware, it is right through these holidays.

I believe we are about to turn the corner. I also believe that we are on the last mile before we turn the corner and that is when things get darkest.

This is the moment to turn up our vigilance, increase our awareness and stay safe while the powers that be sort through the pre-requisite solutions that will save us. It is always darkest before the dawn and the dawn is very close.🌞

Please stay safe❤️

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
