What kind of work do you do that inspires others?

Inspiring others starts with controlling oneself. If you are determined to continually improve yourself, the likelihood of demonstrating the pre-requisite expertise to inspire another person will manifest.

Core to inspiring one’s self is to continuously take inventory of that which is working in your world, and compare that against all of the dreams, aspirations and hopes that you continue to hold onto and visualize as your pathway into the future.

In this internal practice, you will generate the qualities that others wish to emulate.

For in your consistent behavior, you are demonstrating the fortitude and tenacity that others will wish to potentially embrace. The opportunity to spread intelligence throughout the world, using philosophy and daily examples of the tumult, frustration and fears that we are all facing, creates an opportunity to express values that many of us might opt to describe to inspire others with the thoughts and experiences that support those projections.

As we all navigate our way through the inconsistencies of life, we cannot help but evolve in the process. Failure to embrace that evolution would ultimately result in a stagnant life experience, which would leave almost anyone hungry for more than the limited experience that they are currently living.

It is this internal quest to see, do and experience so much more than we might have currently experienced, that delivers us to ever greater heights and positions us in the enviable place of demonstrating how much more we are capable of pursuing using our determination.

Words carry the tremendous liability of potentially delivering the entire spectrum of negative emotions to other people. All the more reason why it is imperative, that we are judicious in our choice of where we opt to communicate, to whom, and why we choose to be communicating those feelings or ideas.

Words carry enormous responsibility, and it is only through our understanding of that responsibility that we can become intelligent caretakers of the spoken and written languages, and leverage them to the greater benefit of everyone around us, as well as ourselves.

Happy Thursday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
