Life is under no obligation to give us what we want.

What exactly are you entitled to?

Now ask yourself this question… What exactly do you think you should be entitled to?

Is there a difference in your answer?

The United States was founded on the proposition that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

This concept was postulated after having spent over 200 years denying all of these rights and privileges, which they then declared, as inalienable, to the 40 million indigenous peoples who were living in this territory prior to the European invaders arriving. Nor were these inalienable rights afforded to the slaves who were imprisoned and taken against their will to this territory.

There is unquestionably a clear line of distinction between what we say we believe and what we are willing and desirous of upholding over the course of our existence.

How then, is it possible that our expectations to get what we want are viable and worthy of our counting on for any potential outcome?

As we presume to pursue all that we want, with whatever resources, energy, and opportunities are at our disposal, our life’s goal must always be to promise ourselves that the things that we want will be readily achievable through our own actions and behavior.

To presume that any of these expectations will be readily met by the circumstances of life is a fallible perspective, as there are so many complicated variables in life, as to make any kind of predetermined expectation, solely a self-desired perspective, as opposed to a predetermined outcome.

When we are finally comfortable with this core truism, our lives actually become considerably happier, because without such expectations of receiving the things that we feel we are automatically entitled to, we learn to position and maneuver ourselves strategically in life, such that many of these expectations actually do come to fruition.

These outcomes are determined by efforts and energy that we have infused into the situation, rather than standing back, arms crossed, expecting that all of this would magically materialize on its own.

You ultimately do have the power to manifest anything in life that you are determined to manifest, but it all must start with the belief and expectation that it will only come to fruition as a result of our own direct effort.
