The critics may have had a tough time calculating who Queen was. I know at the time they hit the scene, they were not top on my play list.

Quite an experience to live in fear isn’t it? That’s what it is to be a slave. I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, kindness from the unkind; yet strange, I am grateful to these teachers.

A bad example is often times the best teacher, if for no other reason than witnessing the exact opposite can illustrate the massive fallout of, and ramifications of, making a wrong move.

If you are living for tomorrow, you will always be one day behind.

If I spend the majority of my time focusing on what tomorrow will bring, am I not missing out on everything that today has delivered? For each and every day is yesterday’s tomorrow.

Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than everyone else expects of you. Never excuse yourself. Never pity yourself. Be a hard master to yourself and be lenient to everybody else.

I don’t know about you, but I work for the most unrealistic, non-understanding, and perhaps least compassionate boss that I’ve ever encountered.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose a response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

How interesting then, that at this deciding moment, we are most often willing to blurt out all of the things we most probably should keep inside.

if humanity is the crowning glory of evolution, it clearly has to go through more stages of evolution before it can either survive or give birth to something like artificial intelligence and robotics that are capable of self sustaining without ego.
