Share Your Experience For Future Generations To Learn

Since the dawn of humanity, we have shared stories and experiences with the expectation of delivering others a range of emotions.

Tribal wisdom, medical knowledge, understanding of the dangers that threaten our existence and many other topics are the recurring subjects that appear in these discussions, century after century.

Some aspects of the human condition never change. This is why I find the quotations from centuries back so compelling. Even if our circumstances have evolved, in many cases the human journey always remains the same. I enjoy seeing how the thoughts of wise people who have preceded us, bear great fruit in our quest to understand what we are currently encountering and expecting to triumph over.

As you get older, you will share many of your life experiences with the generations that follow you. As you express how you felt, the fears you were battling, the overwhelming circumstances that you were able to endure and finally overcome, those who follow behind you are further armed with knowledge that could potentially enable them to survive whatever chapters lie on the road ahead of them.

Such is the brilliance of humanity above all of the other species… It is our ability to understand, record and learn from vast amounts of information and from the experiences of others.

That said, sometimes those who study history are doomed to repeat it as a result of the large will of a population who did not study history and are rushing headfirst into the exact same predicament as the past. This is why the virus epidemic is out of control in the United States while other countries have flattened the curve and are going back to normal.

This demonstrates that education is paramount and needs to be escalated to the highest priority. An uneducated populace is dangerous because they are completely unaware of the lessons that could preclude many things from transpiring.

Share your stories. Enable the generations of the future to bypass problems that can easily be solved with knowledge.

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
