Stay close to anything that makes you glad you are alive.

What is it that makes you feel vibrant and alive?

There are so many possible answers to that question as to make anyone’s buffet of options so readily opportune as to give almost anyone an opportunity to have things, experiences, or people in their lives, that bring them great joy and satisfaction.

When we are taking inventory of our cumulative wealth, we are often negligent in listing some of these most important assets or variables that bring us our greatest joy.

We are continuously striving, spreading our metaphorical wings, such that we might take flight and soar ever higher with the cumulative experiences and relationships that we have been able to accrue up to this point in our life.

Part of the prerequisite to being able to maintain such an altitude in life, is the regular practice of staying close to the things that make you most happy.

A combination of communication with and regular interaction with any of the things, experiences or people that compel you to kick your feet out of bed every day, is part of the regular regimen that everyone ought to maintain.

We are creatures of habit, and the habits that we cultivate within ourselves ultimately become the steppingstones upon which we walk through the garden of life.

So whether your happiness derives from people or from your work experiences, your artistic endeavors, your hobbies, or any of the myriad variables, that could elevate you to such plateaus of joy, find the time in your life to regularly engage, so that you are feeding and nourishing your soul on the deepest of levels.

Happy Sunday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
