When is that bill due? How do we get the order? When do we close the contract? How much is that going to cost? Why do I choose such a stressful life?
Regardless of which of the myriad insane minutia questions that are continuously spinning around in our mind, they are solely a distraction from the bigger picture.
We find ourselves in a perpetual state of keeping all of the open variables in our world afloat. The continuous daily ballet of maintaining all of the responsibilities that sit upon our shoulders is very capable of blanketing one’s conscious with a continuous layer of distraction so as to mask some of the greater power that lies within each of us.
When we go on vacation, we are often times able to shed significant portions of those responsibilities long enough to reawaken some of the deeper qualities that we treasure most about ourselves. We start to feel more alive, more in touch with the greater stimulations in life.
Dr. Joe Dispenza is excellent at helping people to pierce the daily layer of distraction in order that they might come back into touch with the deeper essence of themselves.
For me, when I am able to get out and walk around with my camera, I am able for a brief period to discard everything that is extraneous from that moment other than being fully present and enjoying whatever subject matter I am photographing. It is a meditative state for me and enables me to discard a lot of the perpetual mindfuck that is continuously swirling around inside.
Whatever distraction or intentional practice you find most useful in this regard should become a regular part of your daily regimen…For as we come back into intimate contact with whom we truly are, our life experience blossoms.
I hope your Thursday is off to a remarkable start.
