The architects of unreality, produce unreality, which by its nature, does nothing else but, but undermine reality.

The architects of unreality, produce unreality, which by its nature, does nothing else but, but undermine reality.

Do you live in reality or do you live in unreality?

In reality, one set of rules should apply to everyone regardless of gender, race, creed, religion, or political persuasion, period.

Unreality is created when those who are living in reality are feeling in some way, shape or form, threatened by the status quo, and as a consequence, are looking to reshape reality to suit their specific special interest.

In that core distinction, we are able to clearly understand how, and why a movement like Apartheid would eventually crumble.

In a world of unreality, there are continuous reinforcements of that unreality by everyone who is living with that expectation of curtailing those who should equally have rights and privileges equal to others and instead, lose a lot of those privileges and those rights, as a result of one group of powerful people who have opted to disenfranchise and cut at the knees, any power that the minority group might hope to live within.

What is it specifically that creates the necessity for unreality? Is it possible that the basis for unreality stems from fear? The fear could be attributed to countless different circumstances, but in my observations, I see the fear, as being the generating component that galvanizes, and then fortifies the parties who are hoping to perpetuate such an unreality.

This is usually accomplished by a leader, or leaders of that population making general statements that create the foundation for all of their subjugate subjects to attach themselves to whatever dogma that party or leader is promoting.

A prime example of this is women getting paid considerably less than men for doing an identical or superior job to their male counterpart.

Women have had to live within this unreality for decades, centuries, millennia, and only recently are there enough brave women, speaking out, so as to turn the tides on such a harsh and unfair bias.

Similarly, you can look at the world of ethnic minorities in the United States, who are every bit as disenfranchised by the unreality that is perpetuated upon them in all aspects of life.

More often than not, unreality is generated by people who are continuously living in a state of fear that whatever privilege they currently retain, as a result of their predecessors, will be leveraged and diminished by everyone coming to live within the same reality.

As long as society continues to behave with this bias, our ability to become a much stronger, homogenous society will remain thwarted, and we will find ourselves continually battling the same issues, decade after decade, until enough people become enlightened to the disparity between reality versus unreality.

Happy Thursday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
