The day will come when you will look back to realize that all along you were blooming.

The day will come when you will look back to realize that all along you were blooming.

Growth is often times so slow as to feel glacial in its scope.

There are times when we are feeling as if we might never emerge from the chapter in which we are living. In fact, there are many times in which it might appear as if we are always going to be where we are. But if you are a growth-seeking being, your pathway is continuous and your forward momentum continues even during windows of time that might feel stagnant while you are living them.

What is it that ultimately creates this momentum in some people while others are continuously in the same space day after day?

I would have to believe that it all starts with mindset. If you have an internal compass that is incessantly pointing you towards a destiny propelled by your own internal momentum, you are most certainly capable of finding your pathway towards that destiny, regardless of what that is.

Do you find personal satisfaction in discovering your own growth? As you progress from one stage to the next, are you propelling your continued attention to that growth because of your internal desire to emerge in a higher state of being?

When you are focusing your time and energy on something that gives you cause to mature and evolve, something deep within feels highly rewarded and delivers a sublime satisfaction that is truly indescribable.

In this recognition, are you elevating your personal stake in the overall outcome of the success that you are seeking by looking backwards periodically to recognize how far down this pathway you have already come? In this reflection of the journey you have already traversed, are you feeling increasingly satisfied by your continuous growth and does that deliver the necessary fuel to continue to catapult you forward towards the outcome you have pre-ordained for yourself?

These simple tools of setting a goal and working daily towards accomplishing such a goal are imperative for anyone who is determined to evolve in ways that creates self satisfaction. As one masters these tools, one becomes ever more focused on how to utilize these resources even in the darker chapters that inevitably arise.

We are all truly blossoming. Recognizing this quality in ourselves is one of the most potent resources any person might ever harness in their quest to achieve whatever goal they have set forth for themselves. It is a glorious journey, make sure to enjoy the ride!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
