The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.

The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.
ECKHART TOLLE
Are you unhappy? Why?
I have met people who can be unhappy under the most ideal of circumstances, and others who can find happiness living within the most dire circumstances.
If both of those are true, then isn’t happiness more of a state of mind, than a destination?
Finding opportunity to be appreciative of the things in your world that give you joy is one of the many daily regimens of people who seem to lead the most content of lives. They leverage gratitude in their lives to differentiate anything that they are potentially feeling or experiencing gratitude for or about from the day-to-day regimens of their normally arcane lives.
In their focus and gratitude, they awaken the part of their being that is truly jubilant about all of the benefits that exist in their current lives, and they leverage that to their greatest potential.
There is an attitude that brings happiness forth. That attitude is usually constrained by variables such as perceptions of reality, understanding of the deeper secrets of how life works, and a basis in general philosophical approaches that negate the humdrum side of life, and in exchange, elevate the higher level, higher frequency, perspectives.
When we are able to recognize that happiness is a switch that can be turned on through a mental approach, we discover one of the single most liberating qualities of life, which is the ability to maintain our own emotional demeanor, such that nobody else and no other circumstance can impede our ability to thrive.
With these tools, training and general understanding, we are considerably more equipped to take on the tougher chapters of our lives, and find our greatest strengths within them.
Happy Wednesday!
