The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy. Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
The hard truth of philosophy is the almost impossibility of the actualization of the core tenets.
When we try to process such an aphorism, we are caught between a feeling in our heart that knows it to be true, and the chasm of reality in which the practice of such ideals seems almost impossible.
If Ukraine were to adopt this perspective in the face of the attacks they are weathering, they would most certainly peril.
Conversely, there are isolated moments of passive resistance that have born tremendous results and give great promise to the prospects of this approach having far more merit than might be imagined.
One only need look at Gandhi standing up to the British Empire, or Dr. King’s marches to witness the prospect that a collective energy of high vibration is fully capable of manifesting quantum change.
It starts with education. With truth being disbursed to society without an evil agenda, a collective body of people are far more likely to make informed decisions that will impact the overall outcome.
The world was a far better place for Dr. King having walked the planet.
