We are the heroes we have been waiting for.

Are you still expecting the rescuers to come charging in and save us?

It’s not going to happen and they’re not coming. End of story.

If you are working through your day to day existence, expecting there is some savior that is going to magically arrive at the last minute and save the day, you are living in a delusion caused by your exposure to fiction.

The truth is, we are all part of that rescue party. And we always will be.

Whether or not we take it upon our shoulders to champion whatever cause we are expecting is going to magically change, is entirely upon us and no one else.

The world is fraught with problems and opportunities. It always has been. Our expectation that others will take care of something so that we do not have to, is delusional, and our expectation that there will be a brighter future, that we have not, ourselves, manifested, is equally an apparition of internal hope which is not based on any reality that I or anybody whom I have ever read about, has lived.

If you are not content with the way things are in your personal life, your professional life or society at large, what steps are you personally taking on a regular basis to remedy this issue?

If you are not diligent about assuming your role as the hero of your story, you are missing the big picture, and you are most certainly going to be disappointed at the end. The only way that things change is when human beings hit a point of internal resolution that is indomitable.

It is only through such a force of nature that things that have tremendous resistance, find themselves defeated time and time again. When we learn this immutable fact, we become that much more empowered to recognize in moments of our deepest sorrow and disappointment, that we are in fact, the cavalry.

Even in such a low moment of despair, there is something much deeper within us that is waiting on reserve, to be unleashed and turned free to deliver the new course of events upon which we are hoping and relying.

Anything short of this expectation is problematic at best, and hopeless at worst.

The world has so many challenges at this moment in time. This is happening at a moment when the entire world is going through a massive evolution. If you are not awake and recognizing how and why your world is in flux, this might be the time for you to have a rude awakening and face the music.

It will only get better when, and if, you take control and ensure the outcome that you are seeking will transpire.

Happy Friday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
