You will never be able to escape from your heart. So it is better to listen to what it has to say.

Have you ever been in love with someone, or some thing, or some opportunity that you knew was wrong but you just kept hanging in there?

At some point, circumstances make it very clear that everything your heart has been communicating was very real. In moments like this you can flashback on other sign posts that have been along the path you have been taking and see them all even more clearly than ever before.

The truth is, once you get past the heartbreak of accepting that the dream that you have been pursuing is not real, there is actually a liberation in seeing the truth for what it really is. And in many cases, seeing the truth enables you to move forward in stronger and more decisive ways.

Self delusion is one of the byproducts of being a perpetual optimist and the necessity to differentiate between truth and what you would like to believe is mandatory for a successful outcome.

Coming to that conclusion, as painful as it might be, facilitates your ability not to continue to live in the pain of false hope and instead, empowers you to accelerate full speed into solutions of consequence.

It happens to all of us at some point or another, and when it does, the best solution is to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back up on the horse that threw you.

Not the easiest things to do, but certainly the most pragmatic and certainly the best first step towards making your world move forward in a direction that is real and attainable.

I hope you have an outstanding Wednesday.😊

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
