Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.

Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.

What was the most significant change you made in your life that has impacted where you are now?

Do you remember the circumstances that gave way to this change?

Change brings great fear to many people. The unknown component of change is unsettling to some and overwhelming to others. In that change, we are going into our chrysalis stage…. Entering as a caterpillar and emerging as a butterfly.

Such a metamorphosis can be incredibly daunting and given that as a caterpillar, we have zero concept of what being a butterfly may be like, it is normal for us to have our fears and doubts.

As we have emerged out of our many metaphorical cocoons, we become that much more confident that it is truly plausible that being a butterfly will be so much better than being a caterpillar, that we become all the more confident that we can apply ever more serious change to our world and emerge better for having done so.

Each new evolution brings additional courage. That courage drives us to ever greater heights, and formulates our suppositions for what we could possibly do next.

I am speaking at The Space Tourism Conference today about how Sizzle will become one of the first consumer technology platforms in outer space. Why remain terrestrial, when we can become extraterrestrial?

One might argue that there are no tourists in space, so why not focus your attention solely to where your massive audience is? And right there is the cause/reason/seed of change…

Of course our audience is here (Now)…. But our audience will also be there (Soon). I have experienced so many changes in my life, and helped to create numerous firsts of their kind changes that have impacted the lives of tens of millions of people, worldwide.

I see change as the golden opportunity. Not from the profit perspective, but rather from the perspective that every time I expose myself to change, I must grow in the process. I have my own ideas about what delivering Sizzle into Space Tourism may mean as of this morning… But I will most certainly have changed after having a chance to speak with so many highly intelligent people about their visions and swapping ideas along the way.

Embrace change. It will deliver the chance you have always hoped for.

Happy Friday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
