How many different times have you ventured into uncharted water?
When you make such a journey, are you continuously aware of the fact that there is a possibility that you might fail?
When these moments transpire, are you more likely to recognize that you are one step closer to your goal or are you more likely to take the rejection as absolute and allow it to discolor your enthusiasm?
Accepting something did not go as planned, is in many cases, a very tough pill to swallow. It can leave us bitter and entirely full of remorse. It can cripple our enthusiasm and it can thwart our desire to get back up and try harder.
The reality is, the ones who ultimately prevail are the ones who have mastered this particular quandary. Fall down seven times, get up, eight.
If you are willing to view the world through that perspective, you will unquestionably end up at your goal.
It may be a messy journey.
It almost certainly will not be the straight line that you had envisioned, but rather a much more circuitous pathway that took you to territories heretofore, unknown.
Part of the magic of all of that is the continuous new opportunities and experiences you will make while you are inside those territories, and even more importantly, a deeper understanding of exactly whom you truly are, for within those diversions lies your opportunity to explore, expand, learn, mature, and ultimately prevail.
Happy Wednesday!
