Bees have no constitution, no law, no police, no religion or moral training but, because of their nature, the whole colony survives.

How much attention do you pay towards making certain the people in your community are thriving?

We Homo sapiens require considerably more rules and constraints in order to coexist than bees do.

We presume to be considerably higher on the evolutionary ladder and yet, with all of our extensive capabilities and wherewithal, we are still less likely to watch out for our neighbor than a bee.

Bees are content with a much more communal living than humans. They have substantially more to gain by as a highly efficient and cohesive hole then a society of humans.

Would you suppose this is because this is a creature that has less need for diversion, entertainment, acquisition of goods, and familial relationships?

Has our evolutionary progress ultimately made us happier as a specie in general? Would we look back at the lifestyle of ancient ancestors and feel as if our world is substantially better?

When you eliminate all of the modern benefits from creature, comforts, food, acquisition, medicine, entertainment, and diversion, and solely evaluate (assuming this was possible) the happiness quotient that a member of such a tribe might have felt on a daily basis in comparison to modern society, would you believe that, the more modern human is happier as a result of all of our evolution?

When humans try to operate on a more communal basis, it has rarely proven to be a highly desirable model. From Communism. Socialism, to living on a kibbutz in Israel, each experience offers, tremendous opportunity and benefit to the members, but as with everything in life, it comes with sacrifices as well.

I wonder what our planet would be like if human beings were as concerned about their tribe as bees are.

Happy Thursday!
