Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is, where your book begins The rest is still unwritten .

Drench yourself in words unspoken.

I treasure a great turn of phrase, and that one is exquisite to me. The ability to immerse yourself in new experiences, knowledge, opportunity, events, friendships and relationships is the great food of life, is it not?

Each of these deliver a morsel from which you may grow, develop, explore and evolve.

This song speaks to me. It has since the first time I heard it. The rest is still unwritten relates directly to those feelings I was expressing about my negativity towards a belief of fate or destiny. I love the fact that I have the resources at my disposal to escalate any part of my existence in the direction of my choosing. That core belief seems to really matter to me.

You have all the rest of your life to make it happen. What is your game plan? How do you plan to awaken into who and what you truly are?

Are you exposing yourself to new ideas on a daily basis? Questioning the choices you made in the past and enabling yourself to make wiser choices going forward? Do you explore fertile new territory with your professional sights set on progressing in the direction of your choosing? Do you contemplate the problems you have encountered in friendships and relationships and open yourself up to the prospect that you might really need to make some core changes?

With the myriad variables at our disposal, our ability to evolve has never been more opportune as both a specie at large, as well as in our capacity as individuals. There is more knowledge at our fingertips than there has ever been for any person who has walked this planet before us. You could spend the rest of your life learning what is known and available and you would barely complete Volume 1, whatever that might be.

In my experience, the surge that people on the rise experience above others is the passion deep inside to evolve in ways that have yet to be fully defined. They have an innate desire to always become more. To always seek new pastures. To always be one step better than yesterday.

Today truly is where your book begins.

The rest is still unwritten.

Happy Thursday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
