Never blame anyone in your life. Good people give you happiness. Bad people give you experience. The worst people give you a lesson. And the best people give you memories.

Never blame anyone in your life. Good people give you happiness. Bad people give you experience. The worst people give you a lesson. And the best people give you memories.
Taking responsibility for everything that happens to ourselves is a massive lesson in maturity.
We may feel we have this lesson mastered, but it only takes one incident that does not go per plan, for us to rethink this as being less than so. Over the course of a lifetime, there are going to be many times when circumstances are likely not to resolve in our favor. When they do, we are prone to look to outside variables and point to them as being the cause. And while those circumstances may, in fact, have been thwarted by the forces that others bring to the equation, there is always a portion of the circumstances that rest upon our shoulders as having been the ones who brought that variable into our world… whether we are mature enough to accept this… or not.
Life experience provides ample opportunity to witness these chapters, assimilate them into volumes of knowledge from which we may draw upon, as new equations come to bear. We may presume that we will always learn from every lesson and never repeat the same mistake again. But the reality is that we are not likely to always progress forwards, and sadly, we are more likely than not, to repeat many of these mistakes a few times before the proverbial light bulb moment awakens within us.
If we are able to mature to the point of accepting this reality as being so, then we are more readily capable of watching the variables play out in life and learning from them, rather than looking to others to cast blame, shame or anger. This sounds so simple, but in practice, it may prove to be one of the more difficult lessons in life to fully comprehend and absorb.
Conversely, the opportunity to share our lives with people who bring us great joy and deep satisfaction is one of the greatest gifts we may ever bestow upon ourselves. In this engagement, our souls illuminate with such delight in finding the deep connection with another person who is fully capable of bringing us the rewards that only such a relationship is able to deliver. We are wise to learn to bask in this experience and seek as many of these moments in life as we are able.
For in the end, the wealth in life is never expressed in monetary gain, it is through the continuous connections we have made with others and the value that having them in our lives has delivered to us on countless fronts. Collectively, these weave the fabric of true happiness in our lives and make the foundation of deep satisfaction that generates a feeling of a life well-lived.
In the end, the choice for all of this: happiness, experience, lessons or memories are entirely ours to make…. If we are wise enough to recognize the pivotal role that we, ourselves, play in the determination of how they resonate within us.
Happy Thursday!
