Never underestimate the power of a positive thought on a difficult day.

Never underestimate the power of a positive thought on a difficult day.

Can a single positive thought really be the light at the end of the tunnel?

Absolutely. Not only once, but consistently. In the course of staying present during a difficult day, we are able to turn the tide on issues that are otherwise overwhelming us, and arrive at a new stasis in which our world is evolving in a very positive manner.

In the course of my discussing this with numerous friends, I have extolled the power of the law of attraction and received very mixed responses.

Some will adamantly shake their head and agree emphatically. These are the people who have taken the time to understand this thought process and embrace it. In the course of their expressed experiences, I am able to further validate my own personal experiences with this practice, by listening to what they have been able to accomplish under remarkable circumstances.

Is this strictly coincidental? I don’t believe so. In the course of focusing energy into the universe, I believe we are continuously, drawing reciprocal energy towards us. That which is like unto itself, is drawn.

So, when I have conversations with others about the same topic, and they are far more skeptical, or dubious, my only response is I honestly believe that this works and you might give it a try, because all you’re investing is taking the time to focus positively on the variables that really matter in your world, and where could be the harm in that?

As I don’t come from a religious background, I cannot make a comprehensive comparison between a prayer, and putting a positive thought out to the world. But, from my limited exposure, both feel very much aligned to me. Buddha would say, “We think what we become.” And many other enlightened masters would share a similar philosophy.

If, for no other reason, if you are having a bad day, just the emotional energy of taking a moment to focus on something positive brings a short respite from the rest of whatever that day is delivering, and gives you a moment that makes you feel joy in your heart and your soul.

We are not always in control in life, but attitude is unquestionably the only string we have to play upon, and as a result, I think it is incumbent upon all of us to start with attitude, and use that as a bedrock towards everything else in life.

Happy Wednesday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
