So here I go it’s my shot Feet, fail me not, this may be the only opportunity that I got

So here I go it’s my shot

Feet, fail me not, this may be the only opportunity that I got

You better

Lose yourself in the music, the moment

You own it, you better never let it go

You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow

This opportunity comes once in a lifetime

You better lose yourself in the music, the moment

You own it, you better never let it go

You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow

This opportunity comes once in a lifetime

You better

You can do anything you set your mind to, man

EMINEM

Would you recognize the moment when it appeared? That moment when you have your massive shot at destiny… and if you did, would you be capable of leveraging that moment for everything it is worth?

These opportunities are most often, very few and far between. Sometimes, they only happen once in a lifetime.

If we miss them upon arrival and blow it, and then find ourselves looking at them through the rear view mirror,  they can be the most painful of images.

Sometimes the moment may arrive at an inconvenient time or opportunity. That’s when our prior training should have made us so prepared as to recognize this critical moment in time for what it is, and prevent us from letting go of the opportunity, no matter what. In that critical decision, you may only have seconds to recognize it for what it is, and act on the opportunity, regardless of circumstance or convenience.

Once it is upon you, you must summon all of the courage, discipline, determination, fortitude and tenacity to go for it with all you that can possibly throw at the situation. Dig deep within and find the courage you did not believe you possessed.

Find internal focus at a time when you may be running on the shortest of supplies.

In order for you to be capable of this, you need to prepare long in advance. You must build your arsenal of all of these qualities in preparation for the event, and have them on instant recall, so you will always be capable of pursuing that dream, when life puts you at the feet of your biggest wishes come true.

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
