Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside of you.

RUMI

You are not a drop in the ocean, you are the ocean in a drop.

From the moment you are able to understand the holographic representations of the universe, the entire thought process of who we are, and why we are here, will change exponentially in your mind.

When we are most able to see how and why our existence is so intertwined with everything else, we are more able to readily navigate our way through this infinite range of possibilities.

What is it specifically that enables us to feel comprehensive, when we are solo? Is it strictly a frame of reference? Or is it a much deeper understanding of who you really are, and how you actually fit into the larger scheme of things?

Loneliness is a condition that many living creatures share in common. We feel an innate desire to be in the company of others. But, if you have ever put yourself in the position of living a much more lonely or isolated existence, in very short order, you will discover, there are many positive benefits that come hand-in-hand with that experience.

When we are lonely, we feel that huge vacancy that is generally filled with another person whose company reflects our own enjoyments, and whose shared time adds exponentially to our life experience.

That loneliness, in and of itself, is not always as negative as it is portrayed to be. In that loneliness, we are able to dig within, thereby enabling qualities about ourselves to come to the surface that we might not have readily discovered.

In this exploration we become more rounded and more multifaceted, such that many other things can, and will attract to us, as we emerge out of our loneliness and back into the social order.

If you hit one of these moments, search deep within and you will ultimately discover that you truly are the mighty ocean, in a single drop.

Happy Friday!

When I was 5 years old, I discovered that the lemon tree in the backyard + dixie cups + water and sugar and I was in business. I have been hooked on that ever since. In 1979, I borrowed $14,000 to create a brand new product... photographic greeting cards with no text on the inside, called Paradise Photography. That was the start of The Illusion Factory. Since then, The Illusion Factory has been entrusted by all of the major studios and broadcasters with the advertising and marketing of over $7 billion in filmed, live, broadcast, gaming, AR, VR and regulated gaming forms of entertainment, generating more than $100 Billion in revenue and 265 awards for creativity and technology for our clients. When I took a break from film school at UCLA to move to Hawaii, my mother did not lecture me. Instead, she took 150 of her favorite aphorisms and in her beautiful calligraphy, wrote them artistically throughout a blank journal. That is the origin of the Lessons from the Mountain series. Since then, on my journeys to the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise, I have spent countless hours contemplating words of wisdom from the sages of all races, genders and political persuasions, constantly accumulating the thoughts to guide me on my life path. I hope you enjoy my books. Please let me know your thoughts, as I highly value your feedback!
